Splash of colour

Hello artistic friends !

Somethimes all you need is a little splash of colour !

This challenge on Mix-Media Art Blog was just perfect for me, because I had  old brushes and a lot of empty color tubes in one drawer waiting for one such project. 

For several days I was thinking about what to create and at the end I decided for simplicity and bright colours with an inscription that would encourage me daily on my work.

I used an old foto frame and I covered it with white gesso. Then i applied acrylic paint ( mix yellow&white) and dried with a heat dryer to make cracks.

I painted brushes & tubes with white gesso too and then play with pastel colours of Lindy's Starbust Sprays - a photo is at the end of this post.

I printed on 7 Dots Hazy days paper this wonderful thought that inspired me. At the back of the frame I glue an old rusty net( I found on the beach) and ripped the paper to see through. 

At last steps I added a bouquet of painted tubes in the left upper angle and a few little stones.At the top I just add a string and hang this beautiful picture on the wall in my studio.
